Cyber-Snooping:
Prospect Research Resources on the Internet
Search
Engine | David Lamb | Lillian
Brazin | David Lawson/Chris Connors | Philadelphia
Start
with a Search Engine
- Google
ranks results according to the number of other sites that have linked
to that page, so the most useful resources are usually listed first.
And it's fast!
http://www.google.com
- Northern Light was
created by librarians, according to Lillian Brazin (see below). Has
two useful features: organizes search results into folders, and lets
you save searches and get alerts when it finds new resources that
match your search. You can also order some full-text articles from
restricted journals for a fee

- Other search engines

Brazin's "Cyberography"
- Lillian Brazin is a health
sciences librarian, and this list of resources is housed at Temple
University. She has been building this list for some time, based on
the earlier work of a colleague and on her own experience helping
researchers identify funding sources. It is particularly strong on
Philadelphia-area resources -- http://blue.temple.edu/~tums/departments/clinical/Library/grant_res.html
